​The ILO IB is a non-profit association composed of ILO interns. It has no political bonds with the ILO and our main common characteristic is a belief in Decent Work as a critical component towards social development. We are here to improve the internship experience in collaboration with HRD and Staff Union.
Our Mission
The ILO IB was created by interns in 2004 to facilitate the communication and the exchange among current, former and future interns at the International Labor Organization. It is here to help you connect with people and events in Geneva, as well as to push for improvement in our internship experience"
The Team
CO-PRESIDENTS
The Co-Presidents are responsible for convening weekly meeting, overseeing and coordinating the activities and representing the Intern Board in meetings with HR, Staff Union and external networks in Geneva
WELFARE OFFICERS
The Welfare Officers meet regularly with HR and the Staff Union to discuss ways to improve the overall conditions and experience of interns at the ILO. They are also the focal points for any personal/ professional problems.
SOCIAL OFFICERS
The Social Officers are responsible for ensuring that interns make the most out of their experience here at the ILO, the Social Officers are responsible for organizing various social activities and exciting events, such as Apéro or midweek "coffee and cake".
SMALL TALK OFFICER
The Small Talks Officers are responsible for engaging the interns with the most interesting, wide-ranging, and exciting discussions by organizing a series of short lectures or presentations from various experts and interns.
COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
The Communications Officer is in charge of the internal communications, coordination, weekly INTERNews, management of ILO Intern Board website and regular updating of ILO Intern Guide.
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICER
SPORTS OFFICER
The External Affairs Officer is responsible for communicating with the other ILO Offices around the world. The External Affairs Officer also invites field offices for diverse online events.
The Sports Officer is responsible for promoting sports related events happening around Geneva to the Interns. The Sports Officer can also organize excursions and sports events.
EQUALITY, DIVERSITY, and GENDER OFFICERS
The Equality, Diversity and Gender Officer is responsible for ensuring that equality and respect for diversity are mainstreamed into the work and initiatives of the Intern Board. The Officer also ensures that interns work in an inclusive environment.
FINANCE
OFFICER
The Finance Officer manages the IB's financial resources, regular purchases, cash flows and records, The Finance Officer is also responsible for coming up with creative proposals for IB's resource mobilization.
